The compact IF412 light sensor is designed to detect ambient light in a way that closely resembles the human eye. Brightness data is provided through an I²C interface.
Our Prisma and Artista TFT controllers use this data to automatically adjust display brightness based on the surrounding light conditions, ensuring optimal readability and reducing eye strain from screens that are too bright or too dim.
Additionally, by perfectly adapting the brightness, the sensor helps save power. Automatic dimming ensures the backlight consumes the minimum power necessary while maintaining clear visibility.
