PCAP TECHNOLOGY

Projective Capacitive touchscreen (P-CAP, Pro-Cap or PCAP touch screens, integrated touch screen) sensors function by maintaining a standing electrical charge across the sensor that extends through a contact surface, where changes in the electrical charge caused by the proximity of other capacitive bodies (such as touch stylus, fingers etc.) can be detected by a touch controller.

PCAP touch screens, with their durable glass surface, are highly resistant to scratches and can be easily cleaned with a variety of cleaning agents—making them ideal for hygiene-sensitive environments.

For added protection, these touch screens can be equipped with special vandal-proof glass, suitable for public spaces. However, the number of touch points may vary depending on the thickness of the protective glass. We also offer optically bonded units, combining the touchscreen with protective glass and/or a TFT display for enhanced durability and clarity.

PCAP technology is the standard for modern user interfaces, due to its sleek, edge-to-edge design, with the touch sensor placed behind the glass. This creates a smooth, modern look. Our capacitive touchscreens are available in sizes ranging from 1.77" to 86" diagonally.

We work with leading PCAP touchscreen manufacturers, including Zytronic, DMC, and our bespoke Infinite Touch range. Additionally, we now offer our innovative Hover Touch technology, alongside Zytronic's solutions.
